Parts of Darlington
- West End: Victorian and Edwardian terraces and villas, much of it in the West End conservation area.
- Cockerton: semis and terraces around the old village green, with soft ground by the becks.
- Mowden: wide-fronted 1930s semis and detached houses on sand and gravel.
- Haughton: Haughton-le-Skerne's village core and the semi-detached streets around it.
- Eastbourne: semis off Yarm Road, many converting a front garden for the first time.
- Whinfield: a 1970s to 1990s estate where the original drives are wearing out.
- Faverdale: newer homes beside West Park with builder's drives to upgrade.
- Harrowgate Hill: semis and later closes off North Road and Salters Lane North.
- Blackwell: large houses on long plots running down to the Tees.

Villages
- Hurworth-on-Tees: older houses round the green and newer streets behind.
- Middleton St George: a fast-growing village near the airport, with Middleton One Row on its southern side.
- Heighington: a hilltop village with a large green and a conservation area.

One council for every area
All of these areas are in the borough of Darlington, so Darlington Borough Council deals with planning and dropped kerbs everywhere we work. Our planning and kerb guide explains its process. If your street is not listed, get in touch anyway: if it has a DL postcode near the town, we can probably help.
